Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. General Overview

At World of Wanderer, we strive to make your travel booking experience as seamless and transparent as possible. However, we understand that unexpected events occur and travel plans must sometimes change. This Refund and Cancellation Policy comprehensively outlines the terms, conditions, and procedures for canceling reservations and requesting refunds for flights, hotels, car rentals, and other travel services booked through our platform.

Because we operate as an intermediary travel agency, all cancellations, changes, and refunds are strictly subject to the specific fare rules and policies established by the end travel supplier (airlines, hotels, car rental agencies, etc.).

2. The 24-Hour Cancellation Window

For most standard flight bookings, you may be eligible for a flexible cancellation window:

  • Standard Grace Period: Bookings canceled within 24 hours of the original purchase time are generally eligible for a full refund to the original form of payment, provided that the scheduled departure date is at least seven (7) days away at the time of booking.
  • Exclusions: This 24-hour rule may not apply to certain low-cost carriers, specific promotional fares, or bookings made within 7 days of the travel date. Please verify your specific flight details with our support team if you are unsure.

3. Standard Cancellation Rules & Fare Classes

Beyond the 24-hour window, the ability to cancel or change your flight is dictated entirely by the airline's fare rules:

  • Basic Economy / Non-Refundable Tickets: These are the most restrictive tickets. They are typically strictly non-refundable and non-changeable. In some cases, airlines may not even issue a travel credit for canceled Basic Economy fares.
  • Standard Economy Tickets: While usually non-refundable in cash, canceling these tickets prior to departure generally results in an airline travel credit valid for future use (typically expiring one year from the original date of issue), minus any applicable airline penalty fees.
  • Fully Refundable Tickets: Premium fares that explicitly state they are fully refundable can be canceled prior to departure for a full refund to the original payment method, less our agency processing fees.

4. Involuntary Cancellations (Airline-Initiated)

If an airline cancels your flight, significantly alters your flight schedule, or if operations are impacted by severe weather, natural disasters, or other *force majeure* events, you are generally entitled to a full refund of the ticket price to your original form of payment. Our agents will actively assist you in requesting these waivers and refunds directly from the airline.

5. "No-Show" Policy

A "No-Show" occurs when a passenger fails to board a flight without notifying the airline or our agency to cancel the itinerary prior to departure. No-show tickets hold zero residual value. If you no-show for an outbound flight, the airline will automatically cancel all subsequent connecting or return flights on that itinerary, and no refunds or future travel credits will be issued.

6. Agency Processing Fees

For any voluntary cancellations, changes, or refund requests processed by our agents, World of Wanderer charges an administrative service fee. This fee covers the manual labor and global distribution system (GDS) costs associated with altering your ticket:

  • Domestic Flight Cancellations/Changes: $50.00 USD per passenger.
  • International Flight Cancellations/Changes: $100.00 USD per passenger.

Note: These agency fees are assessed independently and are in addition to any penalty fees charged directly by the airline or travel supplier.

7. Refund Processing Timeline

Refund processing times vary heavily depending on the supplier and your banking institution. Please expect the following general timelines:

  • Credit/Debit Card Refunds: Once approved by the airline or supplier, it typically takes 1 to 2 billing cycles (approximately 7 to 14 business days) for the funds to post to your account.
  • Airline Travel Credits: Usually generated and emailed to you within 24 to 48 hours of cancellation.

8. How to Request a Cancellation or Refund

To ensure your request is processed before your departure and to avoid "no-show" penalties, please contact our support team immediately. Do not rely solely on email for urgent, same-day cancellations.
